Taxonomy
Odostomia (Amaura) canfieldi was named by Dall (1908). It is extant.

It was recombined as Aartsenia canfieldi by Hendy (2021).

Synonyms
  • Odostomia (Amaura) trochilia was named by Oldroyd (1925) [In occurrence list as "Odostomia (Amaura) trochila" but in species description and figure captions as "Odostomia (Amaura) trochilia"]. Its type specimen is USNM 352529 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nob Hill cut, San Pedro, which is in a Pleistocene marine horizon in the San Pedro Sand Formation of California.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Aartsenia canfieldi by Hendy (2021).
