Megalichthys mullisoni
Taxonomy
Megalichthys mullisoni was named by Downs and Daeschler (2020). Its type specimen is ANSP 21152, a partial skull (skull roof and braincase, partial cheek, suboperculars, palatoquadrate, entopterygoid, dermopala- tine, ectopterygoid, lower jaw, and scales in articulation), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Red Hill site, which is in a Famennian delta plain sandstone in the Catskill Formation of Pennsylvania.
