Cricosaurus rauhuti
Taxonomy
Cricosaurus rauhuti was named by Herrera et al. (2021). Its type specimen is SNSB-BSPG 1973 I 195, a partial skeleton (skull lacking most of the rostrum and the anterior portion of the mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mörnsheim, which is in a Tithonian carbonate marl in Germany.
