Taxonomy
Oenonites zappae was named by Eriksson (1997). Its type specimen is LO 7675 (right MI) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lickershamn 2, which is in a Sheinwoodian marine marl in the Hogklint Beds Formation of Sweden.
