Taxonomy
Stroboceras evansi was named by Ramsbottom and Moore (1961). Its type specimen is BGS 87298, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality DG1, Glenkeel, which is in a Brigantian marine shale in Ireland.
