Mambawakale ruhuhu
Taxonomy
Mambawakale ruhuhu was named by Butler et al. (2022). Its type specimen is NHMUK R36620, a partial skeleton (partial skull including premaxillae, maxillae, vomers, palatines, pterygoids, ectopterygoids and fragments of the jugals and basipterygoid, with associated hemi), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is U15/1, east of the Mkongleko River, which is in an Anisian fluvial siliciclastic in the Manda Beds Formation of Tanzania. It is the type species of Mambawakale.
