Palaeoxanta conicodentata
Taxonomy
Palaeoxanta conicodentata was named by Alifanov (2019). Its type specimen is PIN, no. 3334/520, a mandible (left dental bone), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khovboor (PIN coll. 3101) [SMPE], which is in an Aptian/Albian lacustrine sandstone/claystone in the Dzunbain Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Palaeoxanta.
