Microphon terminalis was named by Bulanov (2020). It is not extant. Its type specimen is PIN no. 5078/18, a tooth. Its type locality is Vyazniki Localities, PIN 1100, which is in a Vyatkian floodplain sandstone/claystone in the Russian Federation.
