Taxonomy
Ichthyotringa pindica was named by Argyriou et al. (2022). Its type specimen is AMPG_VTS_30, a skull, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Quarry near Vatsiana, Gavdos Island, which is in a Maastrichtian slope lime mudstone in Greece.
