Taxonomy
Dakotamys malcolmi was named by Eaton (1995) [genotype]. Its type locality is MNA 1067, Bulldog Bench, which is in a Cenomanian/Cenomanian crevasse splay mudstone in the Naturita Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Dakotamys.
