Nusaviichthys nerivelai
Taxonomy
Nusaviichthys nerivelai was named by Alvarado-Ortega and Alves (2022). Its type specimen is IGM 12995, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Site IGM-2772, Tlayúa Quarry, which is in an Albian/Albian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Tlayúa Formation of Mexico. It is the type species of Nusaviichthys.
