Taxonomy
Holcophylloceras falcatum was named by Murphy and Rodda (2006). Its type specimen is UCLA 2862/2 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 2862, Huling Creek, which is in an Aptian marine horizon in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
