Inocladus newlini
Taxonomy
Buthotrephis newlini was named by White (1901). Its type specimen is USNM P 8175 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is White's (1901) Buthotrephis type section, which is in a Ludlow/Pridoli lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Wabash Formation of Indiana.
It was recombined as Inocladus newlini by LoDuca et al. (2021).
