Ancyloceras matheronianum was named by d'Orbigny (1842) [DISTRIBUTION: Aptian; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Ancyloceras (Ancyloceras) matheronianum by Landra et al. (2000); it was corrected as Ancyloceras matheroni by Szives (2007).
