Taxonomy

Otoscaphites (Hyposcaphites) matsumotoi was named by Tanabe (1977). Its type specimen is GK. H. 5827, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Yezoites matsumotoi by Tanabe (2022).
