Taxonomy
Borissiakoceras inconstans was named by Cobban and Gryc (1961). Its type specimen is USNM 130798, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic 26545, Nanushuk River, which is in a Turonian coastal shale in the Seabee Formation of Alaska.
