Darlingtonichthys raumi
Taxonomy
Darlingtonichthys raumi was named by Evans (2005) [Unpublished PhD thesis]. Its type specimen is PRV 635, a partial skeleton (fish missing part of skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schiethoogte 279, which is in a Tournaisian lacustrine - large mudstone/marl in the Waaiport Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Darlingtonichthys.
