Biocatenoides sphaerula
Taxonomy
Biocatenoides sphaerula was named by Schopf (1968). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Harvard Univ. 58521; stage coordinates 26.6 x 119.6 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North of Ross River Tourist Camp, which is in a Tonian peritidal chert in the Bitter Springs Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Biocatenoides.
