Taxonomy
Glenobotrydion majorinum was named by Schopf and Blacic (1971). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Harvard Univ. 58617, TBS-22-4-I, coordinates 55.6/113.2 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ellery Creek, which is in a Tonian peritidal chert in the Bitter Springs Formation of Australia.
