Taxonomy
Archaeoellipsoides bactroformis was named by Sergeev et al. (1995). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is HUHPC 69234 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample KG92-60, Kotuikan River, Anabar Uplift, which is in an Ectasian peritidal dolomite in the Yusmastakh Formation of the Russian Federation.
