Myxococcoides reniformis
Taxonomy
Myxococcoides reniformis was named by Muir (1976). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Harvard Univ. 58640, TBS-1-A, 24.1:99.9 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ellery Creek, which is in a Tonian peritidal chert in the Bitter Springs Formation of Australia.
