Oscillatoriopsis schopfii
Taxonomy
Oscillatoriopsis schopfii was named by Oehler (1977). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is CPC 16921, thin section 73425953, coordinates 12.3x94.3 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MacArthur River Mine, borehole L22/44 D, 229.2 m depth, which is in a Statherian basinal (siliciclastic) shale in the Barney Creek Formation of Australia.
