Taxonomy
Oscillatoriopsis cuboides was named by Knoll et al. (1988). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is CPC 27316 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Adjacent to Duck Creek Station road, which is in an Orosirian slope dolomite in the Duck Creek Dolomite Formation of Australia.
