Eospongilla morrisonensis
Taxonomy
Eospongilla morrisonensis was named by Dunagan (1999). Its type specimen is USNM 496326, 496327 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCM Loc. 86050, which is in an Oxfordian/Tithonian lacustrine lime mudstone/wackestone in the Morrison Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Eospongilla.
