Eoaphanocapsa oparinii
Taxonomy
Eoaphanocapsa oparinii was named by Nyberg and Schopf (1984). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is R3mn-st-2K, stage coordinates 18.7X/11.1Y and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zilim River, upstream from Bakeyevo, which is in a Tonian peritidal limestone in the Min'yar Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Eoaphanocapsa.
