Taxonomy
Circulinema muirae was named by Wang et al. (1983). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is K7943B34 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample K7943, Meishucun, which is in a Nemakit-Daldynian carbonate phosphorite in the Yuhucun Formation of China.
