Anchorhynchia multicostata was named by Viaretti et al. (2022). Its type specimen is MPUM12659, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is WKJ, Wadi Khawr al Jaramah, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in Oman.
