Ophiodon ozymandias
Taxonomy
Ophiodon ozymandias was named by Jordan (1921) [First referred to Ozymandias gilberti (Jordan, 1919), moved to Ophiodon ozymandias (Jordan, 1921)]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is Stanford University #332, a set of vertebrae. Its type locality is Lompoc Quarry, which is in a Tortonian basinal (siliciclastic) diatomite in the Monterey Formation of California.
