Dannychaeta tucolus
Taxonomy
Dannychaeta tucolus was named by Chen et al. (2020). Its type specimen is YKLP 11382 (full body) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Guanshan Reservoir, which is in a Cambrian marine horizon in the Canglangpu Formation of China. It is the type species of Dannychaeta.

H. Chen et al. 2020 | Elongated, slender polychaetes with organic dwelling tubes. Head with anteriorly tapering spade-shaped prostomium, with paired palps attached ventrolaterally near the mouth. Body heteronomously segmented, with a wider thorax containing at least eight chaetigers. Parapodia with lateral lamellae in the posterior part of the abdomen. Abdominal parapodia biramous, unknown in thorax. Capillary chaetae in both rami, occurring in tight parallel bundles. |
