Taxonomy
Benedenius soreili was named by Fraipont (1890). Its type specimen is ULg 6136 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Neuf Bonniers quarry, which is in an Arundian carbonate limestone in the Molignée Formation of Belgium.
