B. G. Baarli 2021 | Small Atrypinae with even, fine ribs, no carination, a small beak and orthocline to anacline area. The shell is strongly dorsibiconvex to nearly convexoplane with a short, narrow fold in the ventral valve. Shell is thick with a pedicle callist and strongly impressed muscle scars. Thick, short teeth with rounded, relatively large dental cavities. Thick, raised socket plates with cardinal pit and small crural bases. Jugal processes terminate in jugal plates that nearly touch. Around eight whorls of the spiralia. |
