Agoultpycnodus aldrovandii
Taxonomy
Agoultpycnodus aldrovandii was named by Taverne and Capasso (2021). Its type specimen is University of Chieti Museum 19591, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Agoult (University of Chieti collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Akrabou Formation of Morocco. It is the type species of Agoultpycnodus.
