Taxonomy
Collemataria lacuna was named by Liang (1990). It is a mold. Its type locality is Lengwu, lower Shiziling Member, Tonglu, which is in a Capitanian coastal marl/limestone in the Lengwu Formation of China.
It was recombined as Leptodus lacuna by Wu et al. (2022).
