Taxonomy
Lathyrus (Peristernia) waisiuensis was named by Martin (1933). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Waisiu, Buton Island, which is in a Zanclean carbonate marl in the Sampolakosa Formation of Indonesia.
