Drydenius insignis
Taxonomy
Drydenius insignis was named by Traquair (1890). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NMS 1950.38.85, a partial skull (splenial). Its type locality is Burghlee Ironstone, Loanhead, Midlothian, which is in a Pendleian terrestrial ironstone/limestone in the Limestone Coal Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Drydenius.
