Dentaneosuchus crassiproratus
Taxonomy
Atacisaurus crassiproratus was named by Astre (1931). Its type specimen is MHNT.PAL.2006.0.53, a mandible (Anterior portion of a mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Issel, which is in a Ypresian/Bartonian channel sandstone in the Sables du Castrais Formation of France. It is the type species of Dentaneosuchus.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Ortega et al. (1996); it was recombined as Dentaneosuchus crassiproratus by Martin et al. (2023).
