Pernopecten aviculatus

Taxonomy
Pecten aviculatus was named by Shumard and Swallow (1858) [Swallow in Shumard & Swallow 1858]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Entolium aviculatum by Meek (1872), White (1884), Herrick (1887), Morningstar (1922); it was replaced with Pernopecten ohioensis by Newell (1938); it was recombined as Pernopecten aviculatus by Hoare (1961).
