Taxonomy
Tambanella stetteneckensis was named by Prinoth and Posenato (2023). Its type specimen is MLCS190, a valve, and it is a mold. Its type locality is BA231, Balest, which is in a Changhsingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bellerophon Formation of Italy.
