Taxonomy
Tasmanospirifer jervisbayensis was named by Waterhouse and Lee (2023). Its type specimen is CPC44474, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GA JB65, Jervis Bay quarry, which is in a Kungurian coastal sandstone in the Snapper Point Formation of Australia.
