Cystodictya pustulosa was named by Ulrich (1890). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Picos de Europa Fm., La Hermida, which is in a Moscovian reef, buildup or bioherm packstone/grainstone in the Picos de Europa Formation of Spain.
