Afrotortrix draaensis
Taxonomy
Afrotortrix draaensis was named by Rage et al. (2021). Its type specimen is UM/HGL50-568, a set of vertebrae (mid-trunk vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gour Lazib HGL50, which is in a Ypresian/Lutetian terrestrial sandstone in the Glib Zegdou Formation of Algeria. It is the type species of Afrotortrix.
