Toyotamaphimeia taiwanicus
Taxonomy
Tomistoma taiwanicus was named by Shikama (1972) [Written as Tomistoma (?) taiwanicus]. Its type specimen is NSMT-P-9121-9126, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tso-chen, which is in a Pleistocene marine horizon in Taiwan.
It was recombined as Toyotamaphimeia taiwanicus by Cho and Tsai (2023).
