Moqisaurus pulchrum
Taxonomy
Moqisaurus pulchrum was named by Dong et al. (2023). Its type specimen is IVPP V 26581AB, a partial skeleton (anterior part of a lizard including a well- preserved skull on a small but intact single slab to which is glued a second slab (catalogued as IVPP V 31369)), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Moqi Fauna, which is in an Aptian terrestrial shale in China.
