Taxonomy
Euomphaloceras merewetheri was named by Cobban et al. (1989). Its type specimen is USNM 425235 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic D8314, which is in a Cenomanian marine siliciclastic in the Belle Fourche Formation of Wyoming.
