Armigatus elatus
Taxonomy
Histiurus elatus was named by Costa (1850). Its type specimen is CMSNF M.538, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Le Cavere site, Pietraroia (Museo Napoli collection), which is in an Albian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in Italy.
It was recombined as Armigatus elatus by Marramà and Carnevale (2023).
