Taxonomy
Serrulella hoeckae was named by Binder (2004). Its type specimen is NHMW 1992/0002/0017, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Opencast mine Oberdorf (NHMW collection), which is in a MN 4 fluvial-lacustrine claystone in Austria.
