Klikia (Apula) vindobonensis was named by Harzhauser and Binder (2004). Its type specimen is NHMW 2003z0005/0083, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Leobersdorf, which is in a MN 9 lacustrine claystone in Austria.
