Taxonomy
Cyathopoma pingyiensis was named by Yu et al. (2022). Its type specimen is NIGP 171878, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample GJZ-4, West Gejiazhuang section, which is in a Maastrichtian lacustrine marl in the Bianqiao Formation of China.
