Taxonomy
Melanoptychia mojsisovicsi was named by Neumayr (1880). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dzepi, nordöstlich von Konjic an der Narenta, which is in a Messinian lacustrine - large lignite in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was recombined as Melanopsis mojsisovicsi by Neubauer et al. (2013).
