Chubutinectes carmeloi
Taxonomy
Chubutinectes carmeloi was named by O'Gorman et al. (2023). Its type specimen is MPEF-PV 5232, a set of postcrania, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Puesto Los Colorados, which is in a Maastrichtian marine sandstone in the La Colonia Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Chubutinectes.
